في اليوم العالمي للمياه :ملايين اليمنيين يفتقرون إلى مياه الشرب النظيفة ويفتك بهم وباء الكوليرا

يحل اليوم العالمي للمياه ال22 من مارس و 15 مليون يمني لا يحصلون على مياه نظيفة ، حيث تشير إحصائية حديثة للصليب الأحمر الدولي إلى أن 90% من سكان اليمن يعتمدون على خزانات خاصة وصهاريج للحصول على المياه . يشتري محمد أمين الشرعبي أحد سكان مدينة تعز صهريج الماء سعة 4 ألف لتر ب15 ألف ريال . ومع ذلك يؤكد أن هذه المياه غير صالحة للشرب وتتسبب في إصابة الكثير من سكان المدينة بالكوليرا والعديد من الأمراض .
تحتل تعز المرتبة الأولى في أزمة المياه لكن جميع المناطق اليمنية تحت خط الأزمة بعد أن ضاعفت الحرب مأساة السكان ، فارتفاع أسعار الوقود زاد من كلفة إيصالها، إضافة إلى أن زراعة القات تستنزف مخزون المياه.
منظمة الصحة العالمية كشفت عن وفاة 166 مواطنا يمنيا جراء إصابتهم بمرض الكوليرا في مختلف مناطق البلاد منذ بداية العام 2019م ، وتسجيل 97101 حالة إصابة بالإسهالات المائية الحادة منذ بداية العام وحتى 14 مارس الجاري . وأشارت المنظمة في بيان لها إلى ازدياد المخاوف من تفشي موجة ثالثة من وباء الكوليرا مع دخول موسم الأمطار وتدهور الخدمات الصحية. وبينت أن مكافحة الوباء يقتضي تحسين شبكات المياه والصرف الصحي وتوفير مياه صالحة للشرب والاهتمام بالبنى التحتية وزيادة التوعية بأهمية النظافة الشخصية والتخلص الآمن من المخلفات والنفايات.
وبما أن ‘‘الحق في الحصول على مياه شرب مأمونة ونقية ، فضلا عن الحصول على خدمات الصرف الصحي، هو حق من حقوق الإنسان ولا بد منه للتمتع التام بالحياة وبجميع حقوق الإنسان’’. بحسب ما أقرته الأمم المتحدة في العام 2010 م ،وإشتغالها على تحقيق الهدف ال 6 من أهداف التنمية المستدامة المتمثل في ضمان إتاحة المياه للجميع مع حلول عام 2030م .
فإن مؤسسة تمدين شباب ( TYF ) التي ساهمت ولاتزال في توفير المياه الصالحة للشرب وخدمات الصرف الصحي للألآف من السكان في اليمن ، منذ العام 2015م وحتى اليوم ، بما في ذلك الوصول إلى المناطق االنائية وذات التضاريس الوعرة ، إلى جانب إمداد السكان والمستشفيات في مناطق النزاع بالمياه ، وتوفير الفلاتر والخزانات الصحية ، و بناء المراحيض وتنظيم حملات التوعية المجتمعية. تناشد المؤسسة المجتمع الدولي الوفاء بالتزاماته الإغاثية لليمن وتجريم ممارسات قطع المياه وإستهداف المنشئات المرتبطة بحياة المدنيين .

إسهامات مؤسسة تمدين شباب (TYF) في مجال المياه والإصحاح البيئي

ـ مشروع ضخ مياه الشرب والمياه المعبأة للسكان الأكثر تضرراً في مديرية المظفر بمحافظة تعز ، نفذته المؤسسة بدعم من منظمة اليونيسيف وبالشراكة مع هيئة مياه الريف خلال الفترة من 5 نوفمبر وحتى 5 ديسمبر 2015 م وأستفاد منه 15000 شخص .
ـ مشروع توريد مياه نظيفة لمستشفى الثورة بتعز بدعم من منظمة الصحة العالمية وذلك خلال الفترة من 15 ـ25 مارس 2016 م واستفاد منه 1290 شخص .
ـ مشروع مساعدات المياه والإصحاح البيئي في محافظة تعز ، بدعم من منظمة كير العالمية في أغسطس 2015 م وأستفاد منه 8 ألف و400شخص .
ـ مشروع توزيع فلترات للمتضرريين من السيول في محافظة عمران في يوليو2016 م وأستفاد منه 630 شخص .
ـ مشروع توزيع المياه للمستشفيات بمدينة تعز نفذته المؤسسة بدعم من منظمة الصحة العالمية خلال الفترة من 15 مارس وحتى 25 مارس 2017 م
واستفاد منه 1455 شخص .
ـ مشروع توزيع المياه ل ( المستشفى الجمهوري العام ، والمستشفى اليمني السويدي بتعز) بدعم من منظمة الصحة العالمية ، وذلك خلال الفترة من 1ـ 15 أبريل 2017 م
ـ مشروع مساعدات المياه والإصحاح البيئي الطارئ نفذته المؤسسة في محافظة تعز بالشراكة مع منظمة كير العالمية خلال الفترة من نوفمبر2016 م وحتى أبريل 2017 م واستفاد منه 5 ألف و586 شخص .
مشروع المياه والإصحاح البيئي الطارئ في صنعاء ، خلال الفترة من نوفمبر 2016 وحتى يناير 2017 م بدعم من منظمة اليونيسيف واستفاد منه 14 ألف و374 شخص .
ـ مشروع تعزيز الوصول لخدمات المياه والإصحاح البيئي ، نفذته المؤسسة بدعم من منظمة كير العالمية في مديريات المعافر والشمايتين وسامع خلال الفترة من 1 أغسطس ـ 31 ديسمبر 2018 م وأستفاد منه 33 ألف و645 مستفيد/ة.
_ مشروع الإمداد بالمياه والنهوض بالصرف الصحي والنظافة في مديرية ماوية بتعز ، تنفذه المؤسسة خلال الفترة من 1نوفمبر ـ 31 أكتوبر 2019 م بدعم من صندوق التمويل الإنساني ويستهدف إيصال الخدمات لعدد 16 ألف و970 شخص . إلى جانب معالجة مياه الشرب بالكلور في عموم المديرية ويستفيد من ذلك أكثر من 200 ألف شخص .

مؤشرات وضع المياه في اليمن
ـ يبلغ نصيب الفرد الواحد من المياه سنوياً في اليمن حوالي «130» متر مكعب.
– متوسط معدل نصيب الفرد في اليمن 2% من المتوسط العالمي سنويا.
– متوسط معدل نصيب الفرد في اليمن 14% من المتوسط في الوطن العربي والشرق الأوسط من المياه
– يبلغ مستوى الهبوط السنوي في مناسيب المياه في الكثير من الآبار ما بين 3-6 أمتار في السنة
– متوقع هبوط كمية النصيب السنوي للفرد الواحد من المياه في اليمن إلى 65 متراً مكعباً بحلول العام 2025م، بحسب دراسات علمية
ــ80% من السكان في اليمن يعانون من نقص مياه الشرب النقية والصرف الصحي
_ يستهلك «القات» الذي يمضغه اليمنيون يومياً ما يصل إلى 70 في المئة من موارد المياه الجوفية.

On the occasion of the World Water Day March 22 , 15 million Yemenis do not have access to clean water where a recent International Red Cross statistics show that 90 percent of Yemen’s population relies on private tanks to get water. Mohammed Ameen Al-Sharabi, a resident in Taiz city, buys a water tank with a capacity of 4 thousand liters for 15 thousand riyals; however, he stressed that this water is not suitable for drinking and causes cholera and many diseases.

Although Taiz occupies the first place in the water crisis, all areas of Yemen under the crisis line because of the war that doubled the tragedy of the population, high fuel prices that increased the cost of its delivery, and the cultivation of Qat that depleted of water stocks.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has revealed that 166 Yemeni citizens have died from cholera in different regions of the country since the beginning of 2019 and recorded 97101 cases of acute water diarrhea since the beginning of the year until March 14. The WHO in a statement said that fears of a third wave of cholera have increased for the rainy season enters and health services deteriorate. It pointed out that combating the epidemic requires improving water and sanitation networks, providing safe drinking water and raising awareness of the importance of personal hygiene and the safe disposal of rubbish.

As agreed by the United Nations in 2010 ,”The right to get safe and clean drinking water, as well as access to sanitation services, is a human right and essential for the full enjoyment of life and all human rights. ” United Nations also works on achieving the sixth goal of the sustainable development goals that ensuring access to water for all by 2030.
Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF), which has contributed to the provision of safe drinking water and sanitation services to thousands of people in Yemen from 2015 until today, including access to remote and rugged terrain, as well as supplying water to populations and hospitals in conflict areas, providing health filters and reservoirs, building latrines and organizing community awareness campaigns, appeals the international community to fulfill its relief commitments to Yemen, criminalize the practice of cutting water and targeting facilities linked to the lives of civilians.

– Water pumping project for the most affected people in AL-mudhaffer district, Taiz governorate, implemented by the Foundation, supported by UNICEF and in partnership with the Rural Water Authority during the period from November 5 to December 5, 2015 and benefited people 1500.
– Water Distribution Project for Al-Thurah Hospitals supported by the World Health Organization, during the period from 15 to 25 March 2016 and benefited 1290 people.
– WASH assistance Project in Taiz Governorate, supported by CARE International in August 2015 and benefited 8400 people.
– Filters distribution project for flood victims in Ammran governorate in July 2016 and benefited 630 people.
– Water distribution project for hospitals in Taiz city, implemented by the Foundation, supported by the World Health Organization during the period from 15 to 25 March, 2017and benefited 1455 people.
– Water distribution project for ( Al-Jomhory Hospital and Yemeni , Swedish Hospital in Taiz) supported by the World Health Organization, during the period from 1 to 15 April 2017.
– Emergency WASH assistance project environmental sanitation, implemented by the foundation in Taiz governorate in partnership with CARE International during the period from November 2016 to April 2017, and benefited 5586 people.
– Emergency WASH project in Sana’a, during the period from November 2016 until January 2017, supported by UNICEF and benefited 14374 people.
– Enhancement access to WASH services project, implemented by the Foundation, supported by CARE International in Al Ma’afer, Al-Shamaytin and Samie districts during the period from August 1 to 31 December 31, 2018 and benefited 33,645 beneficiaries.
– Water Supply and Sanitation and hygiene promotion Project in Mawiyah district, Taiz, implemented by the Foundation during the period from November 1 to October 31, 2019, supported by Yemen Humanitarian Pooled Fund and aims to give the services for 16970 people, as well as treatment of drinking water by chlorine in the district and benefited more than 200 thousand people.
